Making a server takes ages and if you are not sure about it then do not do it as hosting a Minecraft server and port forwarding can leave your computer open to anyone.

Go through that step by step and you can make a multiplayer server.I'm taking a guess that this is for pc Minecraft. I had the same problem not too long ago & I couldn't find all that much help. If you have any trouble with any of this let me know, I'd be happy to help you with this. You will need to use Hamachi to have your friends join, or you can port-forward. Then run the "Run" file and the server should start up. Server Set-up Done.ĭelete the folder names "world" in the server's folder and move your singleplayer world into the server's folder and rename it to "world" all lower-case. Once you have done that, move it into it's own folder (doesn't matter where the folder is as long as you remember where you put it.) and rename it to minecraft_server.
